Hi. My name is Shamsuddin Shaik, MD, and I am the Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship program. After graduating from medical school in India, I trained at National Health Service, United Kingdom, prior to completing residency training at St. Luke’s University Health Network, Bethlehem, Pa. I completed my fellowship in endocrinology at East Carolina University, Vidant Medical Center, in Greenville, N.C. I loved the Lehigh Valley and decided to move back, and I joined Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2018. The best part of my job is teaching fellows and residents, in addition to taking care of my patients. It is an immense joy to see fellows evolve to become independent and confident endocrinologists. I am truly blessed to be part of their journey.

I reside in Allentown with my very supportive wife and three beautiful kids. In my spare time, I enjoy bicycling with my family and helping my wife in the kitchen. We love visiting different countries together. I also love gardening at our local mosque, where we grow organic vegetables to supply a local soup kitchen and the underserved community. We are fortunate to live and raise a family in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania.
