Hi, my name is Sharmila Koshy and I am the Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship. My family is from the island of Jamaica, home to Reggae music and sandy beaches. I spent my childhood there and eventually made my way to the US to complete my education. After finishing up my undergrad at Yale University, I attended the University of Connecticut Medical School before heading to Brown University for Internal Medicine residency. I completed my Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Virginia. I joined the Lehigh Valley Health Network shortly after and have been here ever since. I love my job, which offers me the challenge of complex medical cases as well as an opportunity to teach future generations of endocrinologists.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. We are always on the lookout for local events to attend such as concerts, festivals, and even Disney on Ice. We love the proximity to the Poconos and the ability to enjoy the outdoors with hiking, snowtubing, and the scenic views. We also venture downtown to Philadelphia or neighboring states like NJ and NY to see the sites, go to museums, catch a game, or even see a show on Broadway. We are happy to call the Lehigh Valley our home and are fortunate to have close access to a medical facility like the Lehigh Valley Health Network, especially with two young kids!
