Yoonjie Chung, MD
I was born in Flushing, N.Y., and raised in the Lehigh Valley. I became interested in pursuing medicine after a mission trip to Costa Rica in high school. I graduated from Haverford College with a major in biology and minor in Spanish. I had the chance to study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and travel around South America. After college, I worked in an immunology/stem cell lab at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, carrying out research pertaining to notch signaling in granulomas. I completed my medical degree at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine SELECT program in 2018. I graduated from LVHN Family Medicine residency in 2021. Right before COVID, I had the chance to go to Honduras with Shoulder to Shoulder and provide care for patients in rural areas. My interests include preventive medicine, providing care for the underserved population, addiction medicine and inpatient medicine. I recently got into gardening and enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.
