Through your communication preferences settings in MyLVHN, you can choose the types of communication methods you’d like us to use to reach out to you. Communication options, such as text messaging, can make your interactions with MyLVHN easier and more convenient.

Communication preferences in MyLVHN are designed to give you control over the many ways we can contact you about upcoming appointments, test results that may be available for you to review, scheduling a new appointment and more.

Review and set your communication preferences in MyLVHN

Click here or follow these steps:

  • Log in to your MyLVHN account.
  • Click on Menu.
  • In the search bar, type in the word: Communication. The option for Communication Preferences will appear. Alternatively, type in Account Settings and select Communication Preferences from there.

  • There are a number of sections under Details, including Appointments, Messages, Health, Billing and more. You can customize the communications method for each section, receiving texts for some, or emails for others. You can opt in for all if you like.
  • To turn on any of the communications options, press the button. If the image turns dark blue, you are opted in.

  • Press “Save changes” when you’re done.

Text messaging from MyLVHN

If you’d like to sign up for text messaging, you can do so through your communication preferences or one of these options:

  • Option 1: From your smartphone, text the word “Start” to 78453. You will receive a welcome message confirming that you will receive text messages from Lehigh Valley Health Network (MyLVHN).
  • Option 2: At your LVPG doctor’s office, ask a team member about helping you opt in to text messages. They can send a text message from MyLVHN to your smartphone welcoming you to text messages. You do not need to reply to that message.

Text Messaging Frequently Asked Questions

MyLVHN can send you convenient text messages right to your smartphone. These messages can help you:

  • Schedule, confirm or cancel an appointment.
  • Alert you to any appointment updates.
  • Prompt you to complete eCheck-In forms.
  • Provide other MyLVHN account updates.

If you’re already receiving text messages from MyLVHN for appointment confirmations, test results, etc., you don’t need to do anything additional. You have already set your communication preferences in MyLVHN to receive texts. If you like, you can add our new text number to your smartphone contact list: 78453.

If you currently do not receive text messages from MyLVHN, you can opt in easily by using one of these options:

  • Option 1: From your smartphone, text the word “Start” to 78453. You will receive a welcome message confirming that you will receive text messages from Lehigh Valley Health Network (MyLVHN).
  • Option 2: At your LVPG doctor’s office, ask a team member about helping you opt in to text messages. They can send a text message from MyLVHN to your smartphone welcoming you to text messages. You do not need to reply to that message.
  • Option 3: Log in to your MyLVHN account and adjust your communication preferences. You can find this section by clicking on the “Menu” icon and typing in the word “Communication” in the search bar. Review your communication preferences, and if you choose to allow text messages, you will need to add your mobile phone number to your profile. You will receive a welcome message confirming that you have opted in for text messages from MyLVHN.

Depending on the message that was sent, you may receive a request for a reply, such as an appointment confirmation. If a reply is needed, the message will indicate what needs to be done. If you need help, you can reply “HELP” or call 888-402-LVHN (5846).

No, it is always your choice to select the type(s) of communication methods you want us to use to notify you about appointments or other information in MyLVHN. You can make your choices in the communication preferences area of MyLVHN.

To set your communication preferences in MyLVHN, start by logging in to your MyLVHN account, then:

  • Click on the “Menu” icon and type in the word “Communication” in the search bar.
  • Review your communication preferences and make your selections.
  • If you would like to receive text messages in the future, choose text messaging as an option. You will need to add your mobile phone number to your profile, if you have not already done so.

The number from which you receive texts about MyLVHN is changing to: 78453. This change will allow us to better serve your communication needs with expanded texting and response options. You can add this number to your smartphone’s contact list, though it is not required.

    To opt out of MyLVHN text messages from Lehigh Valley Health Network, you can do any of the following:

    • Option 1: Text “STOP” to 78453 at any time. This will stop text messages from MyLVHN.
    • Option 2: Adjust your communication preferences in MyLVHN. To do that, log in to your MyLVHN account and click on the “Menu” icon, then type in the word “Communication” in the search bar. Review your communication preferences and unselect text messages.
    • Option 3: Call us at 844-4MY-LVHN (844-469-5846) or 888-402-LVHN (888-402-5846), and we will be happy to assist you.
