About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy focuses on creating a patient-centered clinical environment rooted in mutual respect and empathy. I strive to ensure patients feel valued and heard, thereby fostering open communication and trust. Collaboration empowers patients when making clinical decisions. I also stay informed about the latest medical literature, learn the most recent medical techniques and discoveries, and strive for optimal clinical outcomes.

Why I entered medicine

When I was a child, my pediatrician told me if I became a doctor, I could take over her practice! This tease sparked an interest in medicine that grew as I got older. I discovered medicine was the perfect field for me, offering both intellectual challenges and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my patients and their loved ones. This connection fuels my passion for providing compassionate care and making a positive impact in their lives.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time with my new husband, whether it’s camping and hiking, trying new restaurants, or cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs football team on Saturdays in the fall. I also enjoy swimming, playing tennis and skiing.
