About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy of care is that I think of you as a person, not a number. I treat you as a whole. I consider your social aspects and things going on in your life when coming up with a treatment plan.
Why I entered medicine
When I was young, all of the kids in my neighborhood, whenever they fell off their bike or got hurt, came to me and I patched them up. So my dad said to me, “You should be a PA.” And I said, “What’s that?” So, we did some research on it and my dad really encouraged me, and I became a physician assistant.
Community involvement
I coach my son’s baseball team and basketball team. I’m on the PTA at my son’s school.
Personal interests
I used to play softball for years, and I like being outside, going kayaking and being on the water whenever possible. I like puttering out in my garden. We have almost any kind of fruit and vegetable – broccoli, squash, eggplant, spinach, sunflowers and pumpkins. You name it, we probably have it.

Dr. Brown's Care Team
What is a Care Team?
Your care team is a group of caregivers in a medical practice, including your physician and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) such as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and specialized registered nurses. They work together, collaborate to address your unique needs and ensure you always get the best care at the right time. APCs receive advanced training and routinely work alongside your physician.
How we care for you
No matter when and where we help you, orthopedics for us is a team sport. My team works together to answer your questions, alleviate your concerns and help you really focus on your recovery. You’re never just seeing one member of the care team; you’re seeing all of us. My physician assistant and nurse practitioner are highly trained and competent. I trust them to be my eyes, ears and hands when I’m not there, and all care decisions are run through me. We strive for excellence with every patient, and we make sure you get the best care possible, care we’d be proud to give our own families.
