About

Philosophy of care

I believe in giving you the opportunity to control your own health with me as your guide. Patient-centered care is important to improve and ensure positive health outcomes and a better quality of life, especially for those with diabetes. I practice with compassion and respect for the uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal attributes or the nature of your health issues.

Why I entered medicine

I have always been fascinated with the human body and medicine. I decided mid-life to change careers and obtain a bachelor’s in nursing. I worked as an RN in the emergency department for six years, followed by five years as a certified diabetes educator to hospitalized patients. But I wanted to do more for the patients, so I obtained master’s in nursing as an Adult Gerontology/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I was fortunate and honored to be able to continue my passion for diabetes management with LVPG Endocrinology after graduation.

Community involvement

We have adopted families at the holidays and organized a coat drive collection and distribution to homeless shelters. I have volunteered at races in the Lehigh Valley, such as the Via Marathon.

Personal interests

I love spending time with my very close family, walking my precious doggie, road and trail running and hiking new places. I get my peace when I am in nature. When I want quiet time, I love to read true crime stories.
