About

Philosophy of care

Growing up in India I saw so much poverty, suffering and epidemics like malaria, cholera, dengue fever and leprosy. I wanted to alleviate people suffering and believed becoming a physician was the best way to do it and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Why I entered medicine

My elder brother had epilepsy since childhood. I felt we couldn't do anything to stop his frequent seizures, but dreamt of making a difference in his life. Medical school followed by a residency provided me the best advice to help my brother. I am very happy to say he is seizure-free for several years and living a happy life with his wife and two kids. His son is in medical school.

Community involvement

I donate to poor people across the world.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, walking and exercising.
