About
Philosophy of care
I think the first thing a physician must do when treating a patient is to listen to his patient. This allows one to treat the person rather than just the diagnosis. I believe in a team approach to caring for patients. Including physicians from multiple specialties, as well as physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists and others, brings the latest expertise and attention that our patients deserve.
Why I entered medicine
The care of the urologic patient incorporates several aspects of medicine. Although many patients require expert surgical management, many others require medical management alone. Having all these tools, both operative and medical, makes the management of urologic patients challenging as well as interesting to me. My interest in urologic surgery also stems from the broad application of state of the art technology. Whether it is robotic surgery, advanced minimally invasive endourologic treatment of stones and tumors, or the latest treatment techniques for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BHP), I am proud to be able to offer these techniques.
Community involvement
I participated in free prostate cancer screening clinics annually.
Personal interests
I enjoy the outdoors, fishing and hunting mostly, depending on the time of year. I have a passion for food and love to cook. This is a shared passion with my wife, who is a chef by trade.

Endourology and Stone Disease Care Team
What is a Care Team?
Your LVPG Urology care team works together to address your unique needs and ensure you always get the best care at the right time through a Center of Excellence approach. This team includes your physician and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) such as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and specialized registered nurses. APCs receive advanced training and routinely work alongside your physician, building expertise in areas of specialization with the four Centers of Excellence including men’s health, women’s health, stone-related disease and urologic oncology. Your care team will work with you to design a plan that effectively addresses your medical concerns.
