About

Philosophy of care

I believe in women making informed decisions about what is right for them and their family during pregnancy and birth. I want you to feel in control of your birth and walk away feeling you were an active and supported participant in your care. I provide a holistic, evidence-based and trauma-informed approach to the care I provide.

Why I entered medicine

Midwives cared for me during each of my pregnancies. The support I received changed my life; I felt called to the profession. I first became a doula, supporting families through their pregnancy journey, birth and postpartum period. Then I went to nursing school and became a labor and delivery nurse. Shortly afterward, I went to graduate school and realized my dream of becoming a midwife. I feel very blessed this profession chose me, and I get to support you through the most momentous event of your life.

Community involvement

I am a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM). I am involved in several community groups, providing general information for gynecological, reproductive and pregnancy health. I also am an ally to the transgender/queer community.

Personal interests

I enjoy the outdoors and walking. I also love cooking, and often host my family for holiday gatherings. The majority of my free time is spent creating memories with my loved ones.
