Philosophy of care

Observing and listening to patients and their families allows us to collaborate, enhancing their neurological care and overall well-being.

Why I entered medicine

In high school I realized natural sciences (biology and biochemistry) were my strongest subjects and interests. The idea of applying that knowledge to taking care of people (stemming in part from my Boy Scout activities leading to the rank of Eagle Scout) was most appealing. Moreover, I always liked the Sherlock Holmes deductive reasoning approach, which is particularly useful in my chosen specialty – neurology.

Community involvement

I am active in my church and support multiple civic groups. As a semi-professional cello player, I am the principal cellist in the Pottsville orchestra (Anthracite Philharmonic). I also serve on that organization's board of directors. I have been a guest performer with the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble (Schuylkill County), and the Sunday Sinfonia of Albright College in Reading.

Personal interests

My interests include music, golf, reading, cooking (when I have time), travel and supporting my Philadelphia professional sports teams.
