About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy is rooted in “do no harm,” which in oncology means thoughtfully balancing benefit and toxicity, rather than avoiding treatment altogether. My care is evidence-based, aligned with patient goals and devoid of unnecessary interventions – recognizing that sometimes the most important decision is when not to treat. I treat each patient as I would a family member.
Why I entered medicine
I was fascinated by how science can be applied to alleviate human suffering. What drew me in was not just the complexity of disease, but the ability to translate scientific understanding into meaningful, tangible improvements in people’s lives. Over time I developed a deeper appreciation for the human side of medicine. I realized that while science provides the tools, it is the physician’s responsibility to apply them thoughtfully – considering not only what is possible, but what is appropriate for each patient. This balance between scientific rigor and human connection continues to drive my commitment to medicine.
