About

Philosophy of care

I try to approach each patient interaction with an open mind and open ears. I listen to what patients are saying – and what they’re not saying – to get the complete story. That way I can focus on treating them as whole human beings and not just a set of symptoms. My goal is to partner with patients and empower them to get involved in their care.

Why I entered medicine

In school, I enjoyed learning about health and the human body – something I could relate to directly. Once I started working one on one with patients, I discovered there’s so much more to being a physician than prescribing and diagnosing. It involves a unique mix of skills, including detective work and the ability to listen to patients and support them when needed. Practicing medicine is a very fulfilling career, ever-changing and always keeping me on my toes. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect deeply with patients and help them live healthier lives.

Community involvement

As a full-time physician and busy mom, I don’t have as much time to volunteer as I’d like right now. But I hope to get back to it soon. At my previous job, I worked closely with internal medicine residents at South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, I keep my hand in teaching through my work with students in the Physician Assistant program at DeSales University and LVHN medical students enrolled in the SELECT (Scholarly, Excellence, Leadership Experiences and Collaborative Training) program.

Personal interests

I love spending time with my family and discovering new places in the Lehigh Valley. Favorite activities include going to the zoo, pool time and visiting farmers markets. I’m also an avid foodie. When I’m not cooking or baking at home, I’m out sampling the local cuisine in gastropubs, Thai restaurants and at Wegmans café where my daughter can’t get enough of their mac ‘n cheese.
