About

Philosophy of care

I believe that women should be actively involved in their health care decisions. I believe that pregnancy and birth are a normal, natural process and my role is to protect the normalcy of pregnancy and birth.

Why I entered medicine

I entered medicine because I have always been passionate about women's health and believed that women should be an active participant in their health care decisions. I came to midwifery through a circuitous route. I studied anthropology in college and focused on reproductive/medical anthropology and found my way to nursing and midwifery.

Community involvement

I am a member of Maimonides Society and American College of Nurse Midwives.

Personal interests

I enjoy reading, travel and crafts.
