About

Philosophy of care

I believe women should be actively involved in their health care decisions. I believe pregnancy and birth are a normal, natural process and my role is to protect it.

Why I entered medicine

I have always been passionate about women's health. I came to midwifery through a circuitous route. I studied anthropology in college, focusing on reproductive/medical anthropology, and found my way to nursing and midwifery.

Community involvement

I am a member of the Maimonides Society and the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Personal interests

I enjoy reading, travel and crafts.
