Summary

Adheres to the performance improvement standards related to grantor and regulatory bodies. Promotes continuous quality improvement process development to achieve quality and cost effective improvements in the delivery of evidence-based clinical care for patients with HIV/AIDS.

Job Duties

  • Provides ongoing communication with comprehensive health services leadership and staff related to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures appropriate and streamlined data collection from electronic medical record.
  • Assumes responsibility for oversight of CAREWare database for accurate reporting.
  • Assists in developing, implementing. and evaluating aims and measures of CQI projects.
  • Writes, edits, and maintains CQI reports ensuring that grantor requirements related to reporting of metrics meet standards.
  • Observes and analyzes trends and patterns in simple time series charts of key measures and communicates information to AAO team.
  • Functions as a trainer to engage staff, consumers, and stakeholders in the importance of quality in the HIV practice.
  • Monitors population-based measure and benchmark targets to guide the program's efforts.
  • Provides input into quality improvement projects to achieve anticipated outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in health, education, or information technology degree.
  • 1 year experience in improvement methodologies, data retrieval, and analysis.
  • Ability to verbalize core elements of performance improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data and identify areas for improvement based on data results.
  • Flexibility in time management and work hours to travel to at least three out of state CQI learning sessions.
  • Strong independent and team work ethic and critical thinking skills to develop a conceptual framework for large amounts of qualitative or quantitative data.
  • Ability to extract data from varied electronic systems and develop reports for department and outside sources.
  • Ability to use MS Office and other software products.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in health, education, or information technology degree.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
