Position Overview
The award-winning physicians at Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute are all board-certified, many having served fellowships or received additional training with leading programs. Our expert clinicians utilize continuing medical education to further research and enhance collaboration, leading to better patient outcomes.
This position is based in Bethlehem, PA in the beautiful Lehigh Valley. Our Muhlenberg campus is a Level II Trauma Center, with a Cardiac ICU. This is a new role, providing overnight inpatient coverage. Shift is 7 PM – 7 AM, 1 week on/2 weeks off. Duties include:
- Comprehensive inhouse coverage to address needs of cardiology patients in ER, on cardiology floors, and in ICU.
- Performing history and physicals.
- Performing cardiology consults.
- Addressing potential readmissions with face-to-face evaluation in ER, and disposition home after treatment as appropriate.
- Supporting Vascular Surgery and CT Surgery as needed.

Qualifications
Completed Internal Medicine Residency (PGY4 or greater) with a strong interest in Cardiology
Must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine
- A valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
