SummarySupports all operations in order to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety, as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction. Delivers/oversees care provided to patients and focuses on clinical support staff and serves as a clinical resource for all practice staff. Coordinates and supports clinical staff orientation, education, clinical skills competency, clinical office operations, and clinical skills remediation. Facilitates completion of initiatives designed to enhance the patient care experience, inclusive of pre-visit planning and clinical intelligence tools. Coordinates patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, and nursing; ensures compliance with departmental operational objectives and goals.
Job Duties
- Oversees clinical operations and issues in the practice.
- Provides patient care including nursing assessments and applies clinical skills and critical thinking to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients and oversees clinical operations.
- Facilitates patient engagement such as visit flow, clinical triage, EMR clinical intelligence tools, pre-visit planning, transitions of care follow-up, and other patient-focused initiatives to enhance the patient care experience.
- Ensures comprehensive and timely transmission of information to physicians. Applies evidence-based practice to make clinical decisions and establishes standards of clinical specialty.
- Delegates on the basis of skills and expertise, acuity, and the specific needs of the patient and time availability of team members.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments to clarify questions related to the care of the patient.
- Facilitates coordination of care across settings for a designated population ensuring that labs, studies, and referrals are completed and results discussed with the patient.
Minimum Qualifications- Technical School Diploma LPN Program
- 3 years Recent experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to constant change within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrates mature emotional intelligence.
- Excellent computer skills including electronic medical record (EMR), word processing (Microsoft Word), PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Time management skills.
