Position Overview
Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to fill our Medical Site Director position. The Medical Site Director is responsible and accountable for the safe and effective delivery of medical care in the site-specific Emergency Department. The physician staff is responsible to the Medical Site Director to provide excellent care. The Medical Site Director assures competent staff performance and promotes staff development.
In an Emergency Medicine career you will be responsible for:
- Reporting to Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and/or Regional Vice Chair.
- Performing activities utilizing equipment and supplies, according to hospital/Lehigh Valley Physician Group Policies
- Supports the performance improvement program
- Assures the delivery of quality patient care in assigned areas
- Promotes and develops professional growth of self and staff
- Collaborates with others in the short and long range planning for the department and/or organization
- Assures the rapid resolution of issues of patient care
- Assures the adequate coverage of the ED by approved physicians

Qualifications
- Successful completion of emergency medicine residency
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine consistent with the Bylaws of Lehigh Valley Hospital
- Minimum of four years experience after residency in clinical emergency medicine. Minimum of two years experience in some administrative capacity in emergency medicine
- Demonstrated leadership ability with sound theoretical and practical knowledge in management
- Current physician licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Active membership in professional societies
