Summary
Responsible for guiding and coordinating contracted Information Technology shared services between Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and Shared Services Partners (e.g. Valley Health Partners (VHP) Community Health Center). This role acts as a primary liaison, ensuring that our Partners' technology needs are effectively communicated and addressed by LVHN. The Liaison consults on technology projects, vendor relationships, and compliance with security standards. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with a governance group that oversees the relationship between LVHN and Partners, contributing to strategic planning and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals. This individual liaisons with IT professionals, coordinates resource allocation, budget management, and continuous improvement in technology service delivery to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison for Shared Services Partners, (e.g. VHP), collaborates with senior leaders for strategic planning, provides insight and recommendations to stakeholders that align with organizational goals and objectives, regularly assesses Partners technology needs, and recommends solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to the development of long-term technology roadmaps and align technology initiatives with Partners’ strategic growth and transformation goals. Provide insights and recommendations to senior executives to inform business and patient care decisions.
- Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings and joint initiatives to assess and address Partners’ technology needs. Collaborate with other IT teams to support Partners’ requirements and drive technology improvements. Execute regular communications and outreach to customers to maintain and foster positive relationships while keeping senior leadership informed, including the distribution of education materials related to upgrades and new functionality to the customer.
- Coordinate with Partners, standard processes for onboarding and maintaining technology, staff and provider provisioning, general service tickets, technology hardware/software ordering, and advocates for Partners’ strategic technology needs with LVHN stakeholders to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.
- Assist in the development of effective relationships with technology vendors. Consult with Partners to assure vendor performance through specific metrics such as service level agreements, issue resolution timeframes, and compliance with Master Services Agreement.
- Serve as a member on governance group that oversees the relationship between LVHN and Shared Services Partners. Participate in regular governance meetings to ensure alignment of technology strategies, resolve conflicts, and optimize collaboration between the two organizations.
- Develop and manage LVHN Shared Services contract, forecasting costs, and expenditures. Ensure budgeted resources are allocated efficiently and assist senior executives with planning fiscal year technology expenses.
- Extend best practices for standard work and desktop procedures to Partners’ managers/educators for purpose of teaching personnel how to use technology, facilitate on-demand reporting and enable more efficient patient care. Provide best practices defined by LVHN to ensure technology activities conform to security and compliance standards, including HIPAA regulations. Coordinate periodic security audits and implement measures to prevent data breaches and unauthorized access. Consult on policies for data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Provide and/or engage expert level knowledge needed in producing work deliverables in support of partners’ initiatives. Develops or modifies recommended procedures to solve complex problems.
- Maintains knowledge of relevant procedures for participative roles in business continuity and disaster recovery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Information Sciences and Technology or Information Management related fields or
- preferred work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 7 years progressive experience in Information Management or Information Technology or a related Healthcare field and
- 7 years in developing strategies, managing major initiatives, and delivering results within a complex matrix environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to assess business problems and develop feasible alternative solutions.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- In depth knowledge of processes of assigned area(s) and applications.
- Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision while managing changing priorities.
- Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations.
- Knowledge of a wide range of hardware and software platforms.
- Effective leadership skills to promote growth as individuals, teams, and as an organization.
- Strong project management skills and experience with large projects.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree Information Sciences and Technology or Information Management related fields.
- 10 years progressive experience in Information Management or Information Technology or a related Healthcare field and
- 10 years in developing strategies, managing major initiatives, and delivering results within a complex matrix environment.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
