Summary

This position is responsible for supporting all activities related to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) functions, including a Network supplier diversity program. This position is responsible for providing support to the Strategic Sourcing teams and Network colleagues regarding building strategic partnerships with key suppliers of critical goods and services in alignment with Network goals and in compliance with Network policies and procedures. This individual is responsible for complex and comprehensive research, problem-solving, and communication with various levels of employees and management to understand customer needs and strategic supplier relationships.

Job Duties

  • Coordinating SRM activities as appropriate. Activities include, but are not limited to, quarterly business reviews, supplier scorecard development, and participating in deal reviews with Strategic Sourcing colleagues while ensuring compliance with Network policies and procedures and driving continuous improvements.
  • Ensuring required due diligence is completed, and appropriate consideration is given, to suppliers in furtherance of Network SRM goals and Supply Chain processes. Prioritizing, communicating, and coordinating responses to requests from Supply Chain colleagues and/or customers. This includes tracking all correspondence (including scorecards and records of supplier performance and business reviews) by maintaining detailed and accurate files via technology/tools utilized by the Network and supporting communication and resolution of requests through extensive collaboration with Strategic Sourcing colleagues. This also includes meeting with members of the strategic sourcing teams to review the status of progress against the category and/or initiative plan. 
  • Building and expanding upon existing supplier relationships and introducing new suppliers that add unique offerings to the Network, by developing technical and market expertise in Supply Chain and Business Unit goals, including knowledge of changes in the industry, and actively participating in Strategic Sourcing strategy meetings and education sessions to understand direction, trends, and changes in Network policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Business Units and Strategic Sourcing teams by answering questions related to SRM goals, and processes, and providing data management support via technology/tools utilized by the Network. Engaging with Business Units and/or customers as the first level of contact for Strategic Sourcing around SRM processes, policies, and initiatives while providing high levels of customer service.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree BA/BS) in Supply Chain or Business or equivalent experience preferred.  
  • 3 years facilitating and completing tasks in collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups and
  • 3 years in application of supply chain management and practices and
  • 3 years facilitating day-to-day operational and strategic objectives.
  • Personal Computing, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
  • ERP (Procure to Pay preferred), e-Procurement, and sourcing systems/tools.
  • Problem-solving and analytical process skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry market trends and dynamics.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
