In 2024, many advancements were made that impact patients and communities across our region.
- Began offering treatment using autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute
- Continued construction of Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, a 144-bed behavioral health hospital located near LVH–Muhlenberg that will serve senior, adults and adolescents (a joint venture partnership between LVHN and Universal Health Services)
- Expanded breast health services with a new mammography unit at 1405 N. Cedar Crest Boulevard and a new mobile mammography coach, bringing mammography screenings to our patients
- Designated the Official Health Care Provider of the ArtsQuest SteelStacks Campus, naming partner of the Turn and Grind Redevelopment Project and Presenter of the Bethlehem Visitor Center, solidifying a commitment and partnership with ArtsQuest spanning over 23 years
- Opened a family practice location on the campus of Muhlenberg College, students with primary and behavioral health care and providing students with convenient access to LVHN’s best-in-class specialty care
- Partnering with Blue Zones, an initiative that uses an evidence-based approach to improve community well-being, resilience and economic vitality
- Opened LVHN Childcare Center in partnership with River Crossing YMCA (formerly Greater Valley YMCA and YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties) on Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem, a fully licensed and accredited early childhood education program serving children from birth to age 5
- Broke ground for Lehigh Valley Hospital–Tannersville and Health Center at Tannersville in fall 2024, with expected completion in winter 2026
- Received national distinction as a Joy in Medicine™ health organization by the American Medical Association for LVHN’s successful efforts in prioritizing clinician well-being
