Losing a loved one is difficult. As a branch of Lehigh Valley Hospice, Lehigh Valley Health Network’s bereavement services offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support through a variety of group and individual counseling options to help people cope with grief and loss.

This service provides bereaved family and friends of our Hospice patients the opportunity to get the individual attention they need to help transition through the grieving process. It also serves to support the family dynamic structures that may be impacted during this difficult time. Appointments are seen at our Hospice Offices: 2024 Lehigh Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Stepping Stones – A four-week grief care program for children (ages 6 - 15) and their families.

Camp Cocoon – This one-day camp program is filled with activities and play for children (ages 6 - 12) who have experienced a death loss and could benefit from a safe place to express their grief.

T.A.P.S. Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors: TAPS provides compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a military loved one.
Support Group for Survivors of Suicide Loss
This monthly support group meets in person at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest. This group is for people ages 18 and older who have lost a loved one to suicide (recently or in the past).
Healing Conversations | AFSP
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) offers Healing Conversations, a one-time visit (phone, virtual, in-person) that connects those who have lost a loved one to suicide with trained volunteers who are also survivors of suicide loss. The goal of this connection is to help recent survivors navigate this challenging journey by offering support, connection and resources.
Suicide Bereavement Trained Clinicians | AFSP
One goal of the Suicide Bereavement Clinician Training program is to provide those who have lost a loved one to suicide with a list of clinicians who are knowledgeable about bereavement after suicide and able to provide grief therapy for survivors.
