Shoulder Replacement Surgeries Now Offered at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono

No one wants to live in pain. However, many people choose to do so because of a barrier standing in their way, such as not having convenient access to the care they need to attain the pain relief they deserve. For Monroe County residents suffering from shoulder pain, this barrier is one that no longer stands in their way.

Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute is excited to welcome orthopedic sports medicine surgeon Leighann Krasney, DO, to its Mountain Valley Orthopedics team. Specializing in shoulder and elbow injuries and conditions, Dr. Krasney performs rotator cuff tendon repairs, shoulder and elbow fracture surgeries, as well as shoulder replacement procedures at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Pocono.

“This expanded orthopedic surgical expertise makes it more convenient for patients to receive quality care close to home right in Monroe County,” says Jonathan Goldner, DO, Chief Medical Officer, LVH–Pocono and LVH–Dickson City. “We are excited for the expanded services we are now able to offer at LVH–Pocono and we look forward to continuing to recruit doctors who help further expand our capabilities at LVH–Pocono to fulfill our network mission and bringing programs right here in Monroe County close to home.”

With the goal of helping patients regain their motion and participate in activities that fulfill their lives, Dr. Krasney primarily diagnoses and treats shoulder and elbow injuries and conditions, but also evaluates patients with fractures and wrist and hand injuries. She looks forward to helping patients get back to doing activities they enjoy without pain or limitations.
