Hello, I’m Dr. Emily Butler and I’m an attending geriatrician. I completed my geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Maryland and Baltimore VA Medical Center in July 2022. Prior to this, I completed my internal medicine residency at Tower Health Reading Hospital in Reading, Pa., and medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W.Va. 

I joined Lehigh Valley Health Network in August 2022 and serve in a few different roles, including medical director and attending geriatrician at Luther Crest Senior Living, where I see residents in personal care, memory support and the skilled nursing facility. I also see patients at the Fleming Memory Center for comprehensive geriatric assessments. I am active in AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine – at both the state and national levels and like to encourage fellows to participate as well. I enjoy teaching fellows and residents about the positives of nursing home work and the honor we have as physicians to see patients in their home environments.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three dogs, Zephyr, Ricky and Fig. I also enjoy rooting on the Phillies and spending time with family.
