Shekinah Dosunmu, MD
Hello, my name is Shekinah Dosunmu but my friends call me Kia. I am part of the intern class graduating in 2026. I was born in Nigeria, but my family immigrated to the U.S. when I was around the age of 4. I went to Andrews University in Berrien Springs Mich. and majored in biology, minoring in chemistry. I then moved to New York for medical school and got my degree from New York University Long Island School of Medicine.
I loved my residency interview experience here at LVHN and felt a deep appreciation for the diversity in both the resident and staff that I met. At this point, I am leaning toward a career as a generalist although I am also keeping an open mind. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading historical and science fiction novels, running and hiking.
