About

Philosophy of care

Patient-centered care is of utmost importance to me. I believe to manage and treat you appropriately all aspects of your health and background must be taken into consideration. Emotional, environmental, physical, spiritual and cultural factors all play a major role in the health and illness of a patient and must be acknowledged.

Why I entered medicine

Many of my family members worked in the medical field as I was growing up, and it instilled in me a passion to care for people who are ill. I felt the best way to provide that was becoming a bedside nurse.

Community involvement

I have been a medical tent volunteer for Run for the Red; I have provided influenza vaccines to personnel working for local ambulance companies and I have volunteered to wrap Christmas presents for the recipients of a local charity, "Olsen Christmas Wish."

Personal interests

I love everything about the outdoors and enjoy camping with my husband and twin sons. I also enjoy cooking, baking and hosting family and friend get-togethers at our home.
