Philosophy of care
I pride myself in treating patients and their families as if they were my own friends or family. I include patients, their families and supporters as members of the health care decision-making team, using extensive education and discussion to provide the most up-to-date information and treatment.
Why I entered medicine
I entered medicine because I wanted a career that tapped my mind and heart equally. That desire drew me to nursing when I was 15 years old and has furthered my passion to become a nurse practitioner.
Community involvement
I support the Nature Conservancy and the United Way of Monroe County.
Personal interests
I am an avid lover of my husband, pets (one dog, four cats), family, friends, music and art.
