About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy begins with trying to understand goals and needs of my patients and to help them achieve these goals by providing education, counseling and treatment. I hope to be an advocate for my patients and empower them so they can achieve a healthy and fulfilling life.

Why I entered medicine

As trite as it may seem, I entered into the medical field to help others. I have always had a passion for studying the miraculous intricacies of how the human body works and sharing this information with others. Whether it is helping someone overcome his or her smoking habit, providing encouragement to someone who is struggling or taking time to educate and help someone make decisions about their health, I hope to make a positive difference.

Community involvement

Keeping in line with my passion, I have been involved in health literary programs aimed to assist, teach, and educate older adults to utilize modern technology to navigate the internet and accurate and reliable medical educational resources.

I also enjoy being part of the community that I serve and have volunteered my time to organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the Allentown Rescue Mission.

Personal interests

Spending time with my husband and cat is one of my favorite and most relaxing pastimes. I love to dance, listen to music, and travel. Both of my parents emigrated from other countries, and so I love learning about other cultures. I also enjoy cooking, sewing, knitting and entertaining family and friends.
