About

Philosophy of care

I feel that communication with the patient and their family regarding diagnosis and treatment is an important aspect of medicine that is often forgotten. I think it's important to have the patient and family involved in decisions every step of the way. It is part of the practitioner's job, in addition to providing appropriate medical care, to make sure the patient is informed and understands what is being done with their care.

Why I entered medicine

I chose my profession because I want to help people. I want to make a difference in the care that is provided to the patient. I want to take the time to get to know the people I am treating and connect with the patients and their families.

Personal interests

I like to travel, go to the gym, hike in the summer with my husband and picnic. I enjoy spending time with our two cats that we adopted through the humane society.
