About

Philosophy of care

I believe in a holistic, patient-centered approach to medical care while addressing root causes of chronic illnesses and acute symptoms. While genetics do play a role in many disease processes, our human fitness, emotional and mental well-being are optimized when we nourish our bodies properly, are able to sleep well, engage in physical activity and benefit from reciprocal relationships with our loved ones. I have a robust education base, wide-ranging health care experience and many clinical tools that I use in helping you live well. I believe we are a team, and I will respect and honor you and your participation in your care as such.

Why I entered medicine

Growing up, I observed a lot of mistrust in health care and fear of judgment from providers, which negatively impacted the health and well-being of my loved ones. After many years as a registered nurse, I became a doctorate prepared family nurse practitioner in hopes of mitigating the disconnection between patients, their health and their health care provider. I believe there is no dumb question and I wanted to serve others by helping them understand their health better.

Community involvement

I am active in charity work for pediatric populations and mentoring younger generations. I am always looking to volunteer more.

Personal interests

In my free time I enjoy hiking, biking, traveling and anything with my two pups.
