About

Philosophy of care

Seeking medical care can be a challenge for many patients, but my hope is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and are open to sharing your medical concerns. Through good communication with patients and other providers, I advocate for the best medical care.

Why I entered medicine

I have a passion for helping others and caring for those around me. My journey into medicine started with helping to care for my aging grandparents and to interact with their medical providers. The choice of becoming a medical provider myself came while working with a population of patients trying to remain independent in their homes but needing a help with some activities. I hope my caring nature can make a difference in patients’ lives.

Community involvement

As an undergraduate I worked with the underserved population in San Antonio, Tex., at a local food bank, with elementary school children as a reading buddy, and throughout the community painting vandalized buildings and volunteering at fundraising events for those in need. As a graduate student I volunteered at the DeSales Free Clinic, which provided medical care to the men of the Allentown Rescue Mission and those experiencing homelessness.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time outside hiking, biking and boating in the warmer months or skiing in the winter. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends for game nights, bonfires or holiday gatherings.
