The Health Care Career Pathways is an 8-10-week supplemental curriculum facilitated in a classroom setting that can easily be adapted to a shorter duration to better meet a school’s curriculum and schedule. Components of the supplemental curriculum include career awareness, education and exposure; enrichment opportunities aligned with school-based curriculum; pre-professional development presentations and workshops; connections to Lehigh Valley Health Network’s higher education academic partners; and options to learn and experience more through volunteering or employment.
School facilitators may customize their classroom experiences by choosing a variety of career pathways and up to three enrichment and development opportunities including work-based and higher education-based experiences.
Administrators and facilitators interested in implementing the Health Care Career Pathways or another experiential program in their school can contact Lisa.Keller@lvhn.org.
