Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Curriculum
Page Hierarchy
The Cardiovascular Disease training program provides comprehensive training in clinical and consultative cardiology, diagnostic cardiac imaging (echo, nuclear, vascular, CT, cardiac MRI), and procedural experience in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs. Every fellow will be Level II trained in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Elective opportunities in the 3rd year can be utilized towards higher level training in echocardiography, training in vascular ultrasound (RPVI) or preparation for advanced procedural training in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.
Teaching on each clinical service is overseen by one teaching attending, who reviews patient care each day with the fellow on the clinical services.
During the entire fellowship, continuity clinic time is split between a panel of patients seen in the fellow's clinic and patients seen with a physician mentor in the physician's practice.
All rotations take place at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest unless noted to be at LVH–Muhlenberg.
