The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship offered by Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is a one-year unique educational and career-enhancing experience.

The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council has accredited LVHN’s fellowship. Our main teaching sites are also accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians’ Clinical Ultrasound Accreditation Program. The patient care environment is diverse with Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, our trauma centers and the critical care unit within the emergency department.

We care for more than 140,000 emergent patients each year. Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is a vital component in providing patients with state-of-the-art care. Whether that be imaging and diagnosing a life-threatening cause of a patient’s chief complaint almost immediately or in safely guiding an invasive procedure, POCUS is an indispensable tool in a clinician’s arsenal to enhance patient care. Our fellows are at the center of POCUS education, administration, research and patient care. The sum of all those experiences prepares the fellow to become a leader in the exciting world which is emergency medicine ultrasound.
