What makes your Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) training program different from others across the country?
We have early exposure to the operating room even as interns. By the end of my intern year, I was assisting major cases as the only resident.
What has been the most extraordinary part of your training experience so far?
One of the unique things about our program is how easily accessible our attendings are. They are always willing to go above and beyond to ensure residents have the best experience during training.
What is one memory you have from your training so far that will stick with you for your career?
One of my favorite memories here was when a patient I had taken care of months ago had returned to the hospital for a follow-up appointment. He recognized me in the hallway and thanked me for taking care of him during his admission.
What is one piece of advice you would share with someone as they select a training program?
Stick with your gut feeling about the programs where you interviewed when making your rank list.
