Pediatric Residency International Students FAQs

Frequently asked questions include:

A: USMLE Step 3 is not required for application to the program.

Q: Do you sponsor visas for international medical graduates?

A: The program will consider applicants who plan to secure a J-1 visa.

Q: Is clinical or research experience in the United States required to apply?

A: We do not require clinical or research experience; however, this experience will help strengthen an application.

Q: What is the maximum number of years since graduation from medical school that is allowed for application?

A: We are currently considering applicants who graduated from medical school within the past two years.

Q: Do you offer clinical shadowing, observerships, externships, etc.?

A: We do not offer these experiences at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
