Eligibility
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for pharmacist licensure, applicants must be graduates or candidates for graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited degree program (or a program in the process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
Use the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) to submit the following materials by Jan. 2:
- Letter of intent
- Curriculum vitae
- Our residency program values pharmacy-related work experience, research experience/scholarly work, leadership opportunities, organizational involvement, philanthropy and community service. Consider showcasing these areas in your CV.
- Official school transcripts
- Three references
- Our residency program values organization, time management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, ability to work with peers, independence and resourcefulness, ability to accept constructive criticism, emotional stability and maturity. Applicants are encouraged to consider references who are able to comment in these areas.
- Please limit submission to three references as only three will be considered during the evaluation process.
- Letter writers are asked to use the formatted prompts within the PhORCAS evaluation form rather than submitting a traditional letter of recommendation.
- Register with PhORCAS and the National Matching Service.
Applicant review will be performed by the residency advisory committee the week after the application deadline. Invitations for interviews will be sent via email shortly thereafter via electronic sign-up. The interviews will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
