SummaryResponsible for providing support to the Strategic Sourcing team for the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of complex goods and/or services. This position researches and informs Supply Chain colleagues about requests and initiatives that require Strategic Sourcing support to meet the needs of Network operations. This individual is responsible for complex and comprehensive research, problem-solving, and communication with various levels of employees and management to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate assignments and support to obtain desired results. Extensive interaction with Supply Chain colleagues and Business Units is required to ensure that needs are understood, and that optimal resolution can be achieved. Goods and services supported by this position are across the Network for all locations.
Job Duties
- Supports the Business Units and Strategic Sourcing teams by answering questions related to Supply Chain Services processes and providing data management support via technology/tools utilized by the Network. Responsible for data integrity of data management tools leveraged within Strategic Sourcing. Engaging with Business Units and/or customers as the first level of contact for Strategic Sourcing.
- Ensures required due diligence is completed for all requests received by Strategic Sourcing. Responsible for prioritization, communication, and coordination of responses to requests from Business Units and/or customers. Tracks all correspondence and authorizations by maintaining detailed and accurate files via technology/tools utilized by the Network. Supports communication and resolution of requests through extensive collaboration with Strategic Sourcing colleagues. Ensures compliance with Network policies and procedures. Gathers details about customer needs and educating Strategic Sourcing colleagues on those needs to support the Strategic Sourcing process.
- Actively participates in Strategic Sourcing strategy meetings and education sessions to understand direction, trends, and changes in Network policies and procedures. Ensuring high-quality customer service, including addressing Supply Chain-related questions and problems.
- Develops technical and market expertise in Supply Chain, including knowledge of changes in the industry. Meets with members of the strategic sourcing teams to review the status of progress against the category and/or initiative plan and drives continuous improvements.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years application of supply chain management and practices or
- 2 years facilitating day-to-day operational and strategic objectives in a healthcare setting
- Experience with Personal Computing, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
- Experience effectively communicating (verbal and written) with a wide range of customers and team members.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry market trends and dynamics.
- Problem-solving and analytical process skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Healthcare
