Summary

Manages the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating of patient care. Participates in healthcare programs and contributes to the practice of nursing. Performs duties in a case management model that includes a holistic approach to the student population.

Job Duties

  • Assists in the review of diagnostic tests and coordinates referrals with other agencies/specialists.
  • Analyzes health, wellness, and case management outcome data to identify and make recommendations.
  • Assists in maintaining medication formulary and ordering supplies.
  • Conducts a thorough and objective evaluation of the patient's current status including physical, psychosocial, environmental, financial, and health status expectations.
  • Instructs students regarding grant eligibility and counsels and educates regarding reproductive life planning. Assesses needs and provides sexual health services.
  • Maintains clinic environment, restocks examination rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment, and assists in ordering supplies and medications.
  • Provides support for quality assurance/risk management/improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Specialized Diploma Nursing
  • 1 year Experience working in college health or a similar professional environment.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to social equity issues and develops professionally in the area of multicultural competence.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
