Less time in waiting room, more meaningful time with your clinician

Lehigh Valley Health Network offers convenient features so you can plan on spending less time in the waiting room and a lot more meaningful time talking with your doctor or clinician. Para español, haga clic aquí.

The point of going to a doctor’s office is to get in-person attention from the doctor. Thanks to these convenient features, you can take care of important tasks ahead of time and spend more productive time with your clinician.

eCheck–In

Make the most of your visit by using eCheck-In. This pre-office visit work lets you explain your concerns or problems, which allows more time at your appointment to create the solution. Your care team will send you any questionnaires that need to be filled out a few days before your appointment, securely through MyLVHN. You can fill out the forms electronically and submit them right through MyLVHN.

Automatic appointment arrival

Spend less time in the waiting room by activating our appointment arrival feature through MyLVHN. This feature uses your phone's location services to alert the office when you are nearby. When you arrive, come to the front desk.

Here's how to set it up:

  1. You need to have a MyLVHN account and the MyLVHN mobile app on your smartphone.
  2. Enable location services on your device. Location tracking must be set to “Always.” If you do not wish to enable location services, this feature will NOT work for you.
  3. After your appointment is made, log into your MyLVHN app and you’ll receive a prompt asking if you wish to “enable appointment auto arrival.” Answer Yes.

Contactless arrival

With contactless arrival, you can skip the trip to the front desk. Here’s how it works: You’ll receive a text message 30 minutes before your visit asking if you have arrived. Once you confirm you’re in the waiting room, contactless arrival lets the front desk staff know and you can have a seat. If you have not completed all your check-in tasks, you will also be prompted in the text to complete them using eCheck-In. Or if you prefer, you can continue to check in with front desk staff in person.

In order to use contactless arrival, you will need to opt in to receive text messages from Lehigh Valley Health Network. If you’d like to sign up for text messaging, you can do so through your MyLVHN communications preferences or one of these options:

  • Option 1: From your smartphone, text the word “Start” to 78453. You will receive a welcome message confirming that you will receive text messages from Lehigh Valley Health Network (MyLVHN).
  • Option 2: At your LVPG doctor’s office, ask a team member about helping you opt in to text messages. They can send a text message from MyLVHN to your smartphone welcoming you to text messages. You do not need to reply to that message.
