Program Director: Cynthia Bartus, MD
Dr. Bartus joined Advanced Dermatology Associates and the Division of Dermatology at Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2011. After serving as the Associate Program Director of the LVHN residency program, Dr. Bartus assumed the role of Program Director in July 2020. Dr. Bartus’ clinical practice focuses on the treatment and prevention of skin cancer. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and contributes to local health and wellness publications. She participates frequently in community skin cancer screenings. She is a past president of the Philadelphia Dermatologic Society and currently serves on the executive board. Dr. Bartus is the recipient of the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s 40 Under 40 Award and has been recognized as a Lehigh Valley Health Care Hero. Outside of dermatology, Dr. Bartus enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, competing in ultra endurance sporting events and traveling.

Associate Program Director: Richard W. McClain, MD
Dr. McClain grew up in central Pennsylvania near Williamsport, Pa. He moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2012 upon completion of his residency training. He has been working with Advanced Dermatology Associates and Lehigh Valley Health Network since that time. He practices general dermatology including dermatologic surgery. Dr. McClain is a member of the American Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is a clinical assistant professor at University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine and clinical associate professor at DeSales University. Dr. McClain enjoys competitive running and is a tennis enthusiast, and hobbies include meteorology and basic computer programming.
