Summary
Oversees the operation of Comprehensive Health Services (including planning, directing and implementing the Ryan White Program), Hepatitis Care Center, and Sexual Health Program service lines. Performs program management responsibilities include planning, budgets, practice operations, policy/procedure development, implementation and compliance, PA Department of Health preparation/compliance, MAGNET, and The Joint Commission survey preparation and compliance and capital equipment purchases. Develops the practice/program across varied outpatient service lines supporting hospital-based and community-based prevention and testing programs.
Job Duties
- Plans, directs, and implements the Ryan White Program to include budgeting and financial accountability, accurate and timely reporting to all required entities, and developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Oversees practice operations, including recruiting, hiring and evaluation of staff.
- Prepares and submits grant-required applications, progress reports, and performance improvement summaries.
- Analyzes and makes recommendations to leadership regarding strategic initiatives.
- Collaborates with administration and Physician Leaders in the planning for practice or program growth.
- Oversees budget preparation and execution of the HIV and Hepatitis service lines.
- Manages the development and growth of clinical practices and programs.
- Works with the program's medical director in promoting quality and clinical outcome initiatives; works with selected leaders in the community to provide access to care.
- Prepares detailed and accurate needs assessment; develops and implements programs.
- Works with Leaders in developing both operating and capital budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Social work, nursing, public health or related field
- 3 years Medical practice management with administrative/management/supervisory experience
- Knowledge in grants, especially Ryan White program management and 340b funding.
- Knowledge of practice operations and health care reimbursement issues.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and coach other professionals, while simultaneously functioning as a member of a team.
- Ability to deal well with uncertainty in a continually changing environment.
- Computer literacy.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree Social work, nursing, public health or related field
- 1 year Experience working in a Ryan White, HIV/AIDS program
- LSW - Licensed Social Worker - State of Pennsylvania
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
