Having a primary care clinician, one who practices family and internal medicine, is important for so many reasons. Not the least of which is that they know you and your health history better than anyone. To provide our community with comprehensive health care resources, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is expanding primary care practice locations to serve you and your family better.
New Locations for Improved Access to Care
LVHN is bringing more primary care to your neighborhood
Here are our recent changes:
- LVPG Internal Medicine–Northampton, a new practice at 2412 Cherryville Road, Suite 200, opened Oct. 17. Services include everything from health screenings and general and preventive medicine to treatment for chronic conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
- LVPG Family Medicine–1101 Cedar Crest is a new practice that opened Oct. 28. This office is the merging of two other practices (LVPG Internal Medicine–3080 Hamilton Blvd. and LVPG Family Medicine–1251 Cedar Crest), which are now closed. All services normally found in family and internal medicine will be offered. Those services are complemented by 24/7 access to care at the ExpressCARE at the same 1101 Cedar Crest Blvd. location.
Family and internal medicine clinicians are trained in just about everything. They see adult patients for general conditions, ranging from respiratory infections, headaches and back pain to chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and depression.
In addition, family and internal medicine practitioners have expertise in managing multiple treatments, medications and the interactions between them. The best part is that these clinicians can address the entire person, taking into account your values, beliefs and preferences.
