- Board of Trustees
The Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Board of Trustees provides oversight of senior management, approves our yearly budget and selects and evaluates the health network's president.
Our trustees are unpaid volunteer leaders dedicated to improving the health of the community. Trustees voluntarily share their experience in large organizations and expert knowledge in areas such as higher education, business, technology, finance, human resources, medical science and government affairs. The majority of our trustees also volunteer their time and talents with other community organizations, giving them a better understanding of the region and its needs.
Trustees are recruited by the nominating committee and are elected by the entire board for one-year terms. The board includes LVHN's president and the president of the LVHN medical staff. Although no age minimum exists, trustees may not be elected past 75 years of age.
The board’s work is dependent on the work of its committees: Audit/Compliance Committee, Community Relations Committee, Development Committee, Executive Committee, Executive Compensation Committee, Finance Committee, and Nominating & Governance Committee.
